The day began late, because my room in Fredrik's place was so comfortable, and the shutters so well-shut, that I slept until 10am.
More steep hills, inland roads to avoid E4, friendly grey clouds.
At the end I stopped just North of Sundsvall and asked for a place to camp. I ended up in the generous garden of Sarah, 39 years old, who has recently bought that house and is currently re-building and re-arranging it.
Here is the house from the outside.
The living-room is new and superb.
The provisional "walk-through" room is my favourite with all its tools.
My bike and tent at sunset, after some rain.
The cat looks grumpy but is actually friendly.
A very nice herb garden and in the background my gamcha drying, and a trampoline on which Sarah's 13 years old daughter, Ella, likes to jump.
Books are temporarily used as steps.
Sarah prepared a delicious salad, the dream of any tired cyclist in the evening... And sparkling white whine. Thanks !
Ella goes to an "international" school where most classes are taught in English. In Sweden, Sarah says, all the schools are free.
